In 1979 he and his family began attending Christ Temple U.P.C.I. in Fall River. All five of the Leite’s were water baptized in Jesus Name and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost fulfilling the words of Jesus in the Gospel of John chapter 3, verses 3 – 5 [Acts 2:38] While at Christ Temple he served as Assistant Pastor, Sunday School Superintendent, Youth leader and Home Bible study leader.

In 1981 he received his Local Ministerial license. The Leites moved to New Bedford, Massachusetts in 1983 to serve at New Life Tabernacle as Assistant Pastor, Sunday School director and Outreach leader. Beginning in the spring of 1984 Rev. Leite organized a nursing home ministry, street meetings, as well as leading various Youth and Foreign Mission fund raising events. Using the ministry of Home Bible Studies as an outreach to those who sought a better understanding of the Word of God. Pastor Leite worked to help a number of individuals and families receive their own New Birth experience. Before leaving New Bedford Rev. Leite received his General Ministerial license with the U.P.C.I. in 1984.

The year 1986 was a year of change for Pastor Leite and his wife. In the fall of that year they began holding services in Plymouth, Mass. hoping to establish a church in that city. While laboring at jobs the Leites also went to work meeting new people, teaching Bible studies, visiting the sick and those in prison. Apostolic Temple was founded and grew as people joined together to form a church body. For a period of time services were held in Plymouth on Sunday and Wednesday, Dennis on Friday night and Medway on Tuesday night. Those works eventually consolidated into one church in Plymouth.

Reverend Leite was Ordained in 1987 at Camp Meeting in Barrington Rhode Island at Zion Bible Institute. Rev. Leite was a contributing writer for Word Aflame Adult Sunday School material from 1993 through 2003. In 1992 the Leites moved to Liverpool England to serve as Associates in Missions. During the summer and through the late fall Rev. Leite ministered in ten different cites in the United Kingdom.

It was in 1995 that the Leites felt the need to move on to another area to minister. They were elected Pastor in August 1995. Here at First Apostolic Church the Leites have worked to establish a growing church which does its’ best to reach to and fulfill people’s spiritual needs. Teaching Christian principles of living to those who were members while reaching out to others who do not have church home. They continue to communicate the hope that is found in Jesus Christ the Savior.

In the time Pastor Leite has been in Connecticut he has served the Connecticut District as Presbyter, Home Mission Director and currently serves as Home Missions Secretary for the District.
